The Central Coast Humane Society is the most effective force for the protection of animals in Lincoln County. Located in Newport, Oregon, and founded nearly 30 years ago, CCHS has built programs that give tangible benefits to animals and the people they live with.

The leadership of the organization has changed through the years but our goal has always remained the same: To help as many animals as possible in Lincoln County so that they do not suffer from overpopulation, abuse, or neglect.

We do not operate a shelter (Lincoln County operates the animal shelter), but we carry out a number of programs that make a real, measurable difference in animals’ lives. And we assist not only dogs and cats, but horses, ferrets and other animals.
