CCHS will pay for the full cost of spay/neutering of any feral or stray cats.

We also have traps available to rent for a refundable $25 deposit and, occasionally, may offer a volunteer to help trap.

People taking advantage of this program need to call 541-265-3719 to set up an appointment. Diana will return calls within 24 hours. You must agree to take the cat in for surgery at the Spay/Neuter Clinic in Newport, pick up the stray, do any necessary follow-up care, then return the cat to the colony and agree to feed the animal for the duration of its life. Most colonies will no longer multiply if all the cats are altered, and their lives are often shorter than domestic cats who have homes.  CCHS greatly appreciates your compassion for all the homeless cats in our community!
